A VOW RENEWAL

Last weekend, my brother Jorge and his sweet wife (of four years) renewed their vows.  There were no gimmicks, no microphones, no wedding party.  They stood at the altar hand-in-hand; and before God and the congregation, their hearts were exposed.  We all witnessed their vows and heard them renew their commitment to each other and to their children in the most simple and perfect way.

Here are a few pictures we all compiled from our phones.

IMG_4535.JPG ^^ Ale had the privilege to officiate the wedding and Sam’s daddy walked her down the isle ^^ ^^ These little girls are the cutest! Ellie held a sign as she walked down the isle that read “Daddy here comes your bride!”  She did such a great job!  Grace thought the best part about the wedding was getting to blow bubbles for two straight hours.  There’s still soap all over my car!.

The picture on the right is a bit blurry but I wanted to make sure it made it’s way on here.  I grew up with three brothers and always wondered what it was like to have sisters.  I am thankful for these ladies that God has blessed me with.  They’re beautiful inside and out and I am beyond happy that they chose to marry my crazy brothers^^

^^Behind the scenes of an awkward family photo… of course Haddon chose the best time to lose his marbles^^

^^Mrs. Patty and Charlie with the bride and groom^^

^^ The cakes were outstanding! They were baked by Brie from Wild Flour Bakery.  She’s a local baker in Hollywood FL who makes the best cupcakes and cakes we’ve ever tasted.  Sam has a food allergy and Brie was kind enough to make a gluten-free and dairy-free cake that was super moist and tasty. I had the lemon blueberry cake (on the right) and took a slice home for my alone time^^    ^^my handsome boys!^

I love this picture (and the one below) because this was the first time this lady and I got a chance to hold each other and share our hearts with Sam (while others watched). I couldn’t get a word out because my post baby hormones have me crying as soon as I open my mouth. Corina, on the other hand, wins the public speaking award for being so poised, kind and genuine… and for composing such a beautiful toast with really short notice.

    ^^How gorgeous is this lady?!^^

^^Me and my little girl (and my momma in the background)  To think I’ll be attending her wedding one day.

Cue tears…^^

We hope to renew our vows for our tenth… we have five years to go! I can’t tell you why these boys like their beards long. I think they started a trend and it’s catching on down here :0)

How beautiful – and it is especially touching that people renew their vows because it means that you pick the same person twice !!!!! Blessings.
