last week we took grace to her 1 yr doctor’s appointment… a bit late considering she’s almost 14 months… oops! she toughed it out and three shots later i came to the conclusion that our little girl was no longer little. i also realized that it was time for me to let go of the germophobic ocd non-becoming quality that i so strongly possess. i’m the parent that wipes down the shopping cart, dries it, places the cart cover on and keeps at least two bottles of hand sanitizer and wet wipes on me at all times! (i mean one never knows what germ infested kid rode that cart before her…right?)
i’m working on letting her get a bit more dirty these days. don’t get my wrong i channel this capri sun mom all the way! my ocd moms out there get me… they may not admit it but they do!
so here’s to the start of a little more dirt under the finger nails and a little less hand sanitizer… i’m sure she’ll thank me for it. (cringe!)
