FOUR TIPS TO HOSTING A SUPER BOWL PARTY

This post is sponsored by Frank’s Red Hot but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

We have spent all year cheering for our favorite teams and now it’s time to get ready for the Super Bowl. This year, we are hosting a party for our family and friends and are so excited to get our party on!

The Super Bowl is a great opportunity to hang out with friends in a fun and laid-back atmosphere and because the event is as much about the gathering as it is about the game, here are some tips and ideas for enjoying the game in the comfort of your own home.

  • Send out invites – having an official invitation gets people excited about the party and it helps the host have a good head count of the attendees. This will help when you are planning the food, beverages, and seating arrangements for the night
  • Have a variety of finger foods – set up a few options for your guests to enjoy. Finger foods can range from chips to meatballs and cakes. For us, hot wings are a must during the Super Bowl. We are huge fans of Frank’s red hot wings From Walmart. They are easy to make, they are delicious and they are sure to draw a crowd. Frank’s red hot wings come in a variety of flavors like Buffalo Flavor, Kickin’ BBQ Flavor and Original Flavor, so there is something for everyone. I also like to bring out a variety of Frank’s red hot sauce for our guests to enjoy
  • Pace out the food – One of the mistakes I make during laid-back parties is that I serve all for all of the food at once. By pacing out the food, I am sure to have enough for everyone and keep our guests from entering into a food coma before the halftime show. During the pregame, I like to offer chips and dip. During the first quarter, I pull out the buffalo wings, chips, and nachos. For the halftime show, the burgers, Pizza and sandwiches come out and dessert is usually served from the third-quarter on.
  • Set up a cooler for drinks – I set up a few coolers with ice and drinks that vary from water to soda to fruit juice. I let my guests know that they are welcome to it. This keeps me from having to refill drinks and helps create a more relaxed environment.

Regardless of the team you’re rooting for, the Super Bowl is all about having a great time. Hope you can use these ideas for your party!
