FRIDAY FAVORITES | HALLOWEEN 2016

halloween 2016

Did you guys do anything for Halloween? I was going back and forth with wanting to take the kids tric-or-treating and staying home and letting the day just pass us.  We decided to play it low key and dress the kids up with whatever we found in their closet.  Grace had a Rapunzel dress and Haddon had play tools and a plaid shirt… so we went with lumberjack/worker/homeless man.

I think it worked out.  We spent about half an hour before Haddon threw a cranky pants fit and Emory started crying, so we called it quits.  I’d say overall we had a successful first Halloween aka dress up day and we have a butt load of candy to show for it!

And before we get to these pictures, check out the cutest Anna and Olaf from last year!!

^^those eyes and beard/mustache combo! ^^halloween 2016^^so these are his Nebraska boots… we thought they looked tougher than his cute little sneakers… so on they went. ^^halloween 2016^^I grabbed Grace’s chef outfit and dressed up as TIRED MOM complete with a tall glass of spiced eggnog… because you know…. mom!^^halloween 2016\ halloween 2016

^^Me and my crazy bunch.  Maybe next year we’ll put a little more effort into our costumes and get Alex involved. I’m thinking the entire cast of Frozen or we can dress up as Chip and Joanna gaines or maybe woodland creatures…. the possibilities! ^^halloween 2016

I think my favorite part of the entire night was watching Grace shout “Mom I love getting all this candy!”

Haddon participated during the first five minutes and then called it quits once he had a big-fat lemon drop in his hands!

I hope you all had an amazing week.  If you need me, I’ll be sitting on my bed eating all of the kit-kats in Grace’s bag  ;0)
