MINT GREEN AND PATIENTLY WAITING FOR SPRING

We had blizzard-like conditions this past weekend bringing in a few inches of snow and some chilly weather. Ok. So, spring isn’t quite here yet, but we are making every effort to usher in warmer weather and I wanted to share with you how:

  1. Start wearing your spring clothes –  I have been pulling out all of my spring clothes and wearing them all day long (even if I still have to throw on my winter jacket over it). Wearing brighter clothing brightens up my day, even if there’s snow on the ground and little to no sunshine.    This Mint Lace cold shoulder Maternity Top is one of my favorites from Pink Blush and it has me feeling all the spring weather.  Pink Blush has the cutest maternity clothes and if you’ve followed along for some time, you know I’ve shouted their praises throughout all of my pregnancies.
  2. Potted plants- I love love love having plants around my home, especially in the winter.  Plants are beautiful, alive and seeing greenery around the house makes me happy.
  3. Infuse lavender – lavender essential oil is not only calming but infusing it around your house is a great way to brighten up your mood.  I also add a few drops to dryer balls and throw them in the dryer with my clothes.
  4. Visit an indoor greenhouse – There are not a lot of options when it comes to purchasing plants in the winter.  Most of the plants we can purchase are shipped in from the south and they don’t arrive until late April.  There are however indoor nurseries that will sell plants year round and we love visiting our local indoor plant stores!

Here’s to spring friends, to warmer weather and to cute maternity clothes!

This shirt has the cutest detail on the shoulder.  It’s a peekaboo shoulder, wrapped in lace and the sleeve is ruffled. It also fits very loosely over my growing belly, making it one of the comfiest shirts ever!

Any other mamas out there with four kids?? So here’s a question. This belly is popping out faster than all my other pregnancies.  Through my other pregnancies, I have been able to wear my non-maternity clothes for a while, this time around…there is absolutely no hiding it! Anyone experience this??
