ONE MONTH AND A NICK-NAME

newborn photography

I’m clearing out my phone today but I can’t seem to part with these pictures of our sweet Haddon.  So… on a post they go!

Our boy has been around now for a strong month and he’s doing great! Mamma is on zombie mode half the time, but this little guy is thriving, which makes the sleep depravation well worth it.  He’s one ounce away from being my 10lb-arm-toning dumbbell and according to the Dr, he’s well advanced for his age (we’re strongly considering Yale!)

We’re working on establishing a day/night routine so we can at least have a good two hours of uninterrupted sleep.  So far he’s got it down and I’m shouting my Alleluias and Amens as soon as he drifts off.  I’m hoping for three hours soon and maybe, just maybe we’ll hit four before the end of March!

We’re also thinking that this would be the best time to hone down on a good nickname.  I’ve been calling him poochie since the day he was born, however Ale seems to think that it’s a bit too wimpy.  I personally have no trouble calling him my cutie patootie and my woochie moochie… but I guess this is where the compromise of marriage has to kick in. Right? Ale thinks he should have a strong nickname and I agree but he’s just too darn cute.

We’re somewhere along the lines of:

  • Don
  • Donnie
  • H
  • Haddie
  • Ace
  • Alex (this might not work given that there are already 3 Alex’s in our family)
  • Bud
  • Kid
  • Poochie

We’re working on it.  Any ideas??

WHere’s to another month of concealer and caffeine!!
