SUPER CRAZY NEWS | HAPPY EASTER FROM GONZALEZ BABY #4

WE ARE PREGNANT WITH BABY #4!!!

SOOOOO many emotions going on over here friends.  First off, after making a super hard decision to not have any more babies (and having a surgical procedure to reinforce our decision) we are happy, shocked, grateful and incredibly excited to share that we are expecting our fourth baby!!! It seems so surreal even typing it out.

After having Emory, we felt like our family was set and when a career opportunity opened up for Alex in the Midwest, we were very confident we could take it on with 3 little ones. A few weeks ago, with all the winter festivities behind us, and many spring plans ahead, we realized it had been a while since our last “monthly visitor” so we took a pregnancy test (just to rule it out).  To say that we were shocked at a positive result is an understatement!

You see, my procedure meant that the pregnancy would most likely be ectopic and lead to a termination.  With nerves racing and every emotion firing at 100%, we reached out to a physician friend from our church who helped us make an emergency appointment the following day. In 12 hours, we would learn what God had in store. With hopeful hearts, we walked into the Hospital room  and after an ultrasound and some blood work, the doctor said:

“Congratulations, the embryo migrated to the uterus and you are five weeks pregnant!”

Tears ran down my eyes as we all received the news. There were two nurses, our three kids in a stroller, Alex, the doctor, and I all cramped in the examination room.  The kids were eating their snacks, there were chip crumbs all over the floor; Alex and I weren’t even close enough to hold hands…but looking at each other, we both knew the overwhelming joy that only God can give in this perfect moment.

We all cried, we all hugged, took a DEEP sigh of relief and did our best to keep the fear of raising FOUR babies at bay.

So here we are…. so excited to finally share our little secret with the world!

This Easter, we are celebrating the resurrection of our savior, forgiveness of sin, and new life. Our family is happy and so far everyone is healthy and excited about our sweet peanut joining us.

Ok… now on to maternity dresses … this is one of the most comfortable dresses I’ve ever worn! Pink Blush sent it over for me knowing that I’d make this announcement today (how sweet right?!)  It was so nice of them to send it and I’m super excited to wear their clothes again (they have the best maternity clothes and I wore them when I was pregnant with Haddon and Emory!) How poetic… right??

You can check out their full maternity line here.  They also have beautiful accessories and women’s clothing.

Here are a few more pictures of our tiny bump and this GORGEOUS dress!
