We have been waiting all year for this moment!!
The holidays are finally here, and the kids and I have a long bucket list of holiday activities that we are looking forward to. Last week we put up our Christmas tree and took turns hanging up some of our favorite ornaments.
One of the things we look forward to the most is baking! We love holiday baking and when the season starts to get super stressful, I know I can use Betty Crocker™ products to keep the baking fun and the stress low. In fact, we love holiday baking so much that this year, we started a new tradition. We’re calling it our Christmas sweater cookie party and it’s exactly what it sounds like. We all don on our favorite Christmas sweaters and our goal is to bake Christmas cookies that look just like the real thing. This year we are baking with Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix. I love that it takes the hassle out of the holidays and gives me back the time to spend with my kiddos. The directions are so easy, and it only takes a few ingredients to make the perfect cookie batter! Betty Crocker brings us the same fresh-baked favorites we know and love but makes baking simple.
The sugar cookies recipe calls for drop cookies, which are quick and easy and it’s a cookie we enjoy all year round. They are delicious and we have them often. However, because this is a special event, it calls for something a bit more festive. We use the same batter and make cut out cookies. The girls and I roll out the dough and bring out our super cute Christmas cookie cutters. The goal is to make the cookie match the sweaters, and I think we were successful.

My sweater character this year is Santa! I think he turned out so adorable although Harry for sure has me beat with his super cute snowman.
This is such a special time for our family. The kids are old enough to understand and look forward to tradition, but still little enough to bask in the holiday magic. It’s so precious.
