Big families and quality time

This post is sponsored by Hasbro, all opinions are my own

We have a big family.  I have four kids and sometimes finding ways to show them individual attention can be challenging.  Once a month, we set aside “day dates” with each kid where they get to pick what we’re going to do and we spend a few hours enjoying their company and partaking in their favorite activity.

This month, Emory wanted to have a Peppa Pig day and I was all here for it.  Peppa Pig has been her favorite since she was tiny.
Thanks to the Target app, I quickly found everything I needed for the perfect Peppa Pig day date with Emory.  We picked up the super cozy Peppa Pig comforter and the toddler sleepwear as well as the Crayola Activity pad and set a date on the calendar that was just for the two of us.

We love shopping at Target and appreciate the In-store and online experience and now, it’s also my one-stop shop when it comes to all things Peppa Pig!

I have to tell you these magic markers from Crayola are so cool! I’ve seen them before, but this was our first time trying them out.  I think this is going to save so many couches! I love that the color appears only when you’re using their specific color pads.  Emory had a blast finding hidden details in the coloring pages and I loved watching her imagination soar!

Sometimes finding pockets of time for my kids means being intentional. For me, it means taking the time to know my kids.  It means finding out what they like, what makes them smile, and showing them that I care by spending time with them. Emory is our middle child and it’s super important to show her how special she is to me.  That doesn’t always mean I purchase everything she wants, but it does mean that I take the time to get to know her as an individual.

This was so fun for both of us. We watched a few of her favorite episodes and had great conversations about her schooling, her friends, and everything she’s learning about in church. We giggled as we followed Peppa and her sweet family through their adventures and talked about some of the fun challenges that they faced.

Emory has been sleeping in this sleep set since we had our day date and I love how cute looks.
Here’s to more day dates with my girl, and to products that make our quality time together a bit more special.
