FINDING MY INSPIRATION AND WHAT REST LOOKS LIKE THESE DAYS

FINDING MY INSPIRATION AND WHAT REST LOOKS LIKE THESE DAYS

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pantene. All opinions are 100% mine.

For the past three years I have been a stay-at-home mom who also homeschools and has a full-time, online job. I wear many hats and most days I’m flopping through trying to figure out how to prioritize my time and my energy. My days are long, but I honestly love every aspect of my life.  Being a stay-at-home mom is the toughest, most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Homeschooling my kids is a calling that I do not take lightly and working from home is a privilege that I am beyond grateful for. I’ve learned over the years that in order to function at a high capacity, I need to prioritize rest.  Rest looks different depending on the day and workload, but it is always a must.

Lately, rest looks like taking some time away from the noise; the kids, and work and doing something that is just for me. Most of the time, I find myself in my bathtub soaking in silence. Taking time to discover what’s good.

This is my opportunity to clear my head, pray, let go of distractions and pamper myself with some luxury-style bath options. Today, I am sharing all about Pantene’s Nutrient Blends Collection and how their Miracle Moisture Boost Collection with Rose Water inspires me and makes me feel luxurious in the comfort of my own home.

It’s no surprise that there are many benefits to rose water. Rose water is not only fragrant and relaxing, but it has been known to moisturize and nurture natural beauty with its hydrating and soothing benefits. The Miracle Moisture Boost Shampoo with Rose Water is made from the petals and buds of rosa gallica that thrives in the Middle East. The shampoo provides gentle cleansing, is sulfate, paraben, dye and mineral oil free and leaves my hair feeling smooth, soft and shiny. The conditioner hydrates my hair and tames frizz while leaving my hair silky and shiny.

Fun fact: Rose Water is traditionally used in European countries in addition to the Middle East. Women in regions such as Morocco have a proactive haircare regimen using historical ingredients like rose water to help them get ahead. These beauty customs are full of ritual ingredients, from mint in traditional beverages to rose water, which, in Morocco, is harvested in the Atlas Mountains and used to deliver reprieve from the dry climate.

Right before my bath, I like to steep a few rose petals in hot water to extract their nutrients and then add them to my bath water.  I also add a few salts and some bubbles (because no bath is complete without bubbles!)  I like to throw a few rose petals to the bath water because it makes everything feel a bit more glam.

I keep my Miracle Moisture Boost Collection with Rose Water close by and wash, rinse, lather and repeat my way to soft and beautiful hair. My hair is long, and I have realized that if I want it to look and feel its best, I need to use quality products that moisturize and nourish my hair. This product can be found here.

My life is very far from glamorous.  Most days, I’m chasing kids and performing a balancing act, but I am so very grateful for the role that I get to play in the lives of my children, and I love that I can show up for my husband. It’s not easy. In fact, it requires a lot from me, and that’s why I’m so grateful for opportunities like these.  For breaks along the way and for a chance to pamper myself, to feel refreshed and ready to take on my day.
