We are huge fans of the holidays around here friends. We deck our halls as early as November first and spend the rest of the season adding decorations to our collection. It’s always such a fun time for our family. The holidays tend to be very hectic, but I’ve learned throughout the years that keeping it simple is the best way to make the most of the season.

Today I am sharing my FIVE TIPS TO A STRESS-FREE HOLIDAY SEASON.

Write lists – Make a few lists of things you want to accomplish and give yourself a timeline. I usually like to make a list of all of the movies we want to see, the parties we are invited to, and the guests we’d like to entertain. When you start with a list, you are less likely to get distracted from the task at hand. A list will also allow you to keep your sanity and gives you a sense of accomplishment every time you check something off.
Stock up on batteries – Do yourself a favor and stock up on batteries. Batteries are a must during the season and are necessary to power all of the twinkling lights, toys, and all electronics. - Enjoy the moment – The holidays can get pretty busy and it’s so easy to get tied up with a bunch of to-do lists and forget to take a step back and enjoy the moment. We like to take a few minutes during our day to just sit, talk about what the holidays mean to us, and enjoy all of our hard work. We also like to watch Christmas movies and sip hot cocoa to get us right in the mood.
