Spring is almost here, which means the birds are chirping, the flowers are starting to bloom and the warm weather is right around the corner. We are starting to get our winter clothes back in storage and are ready for spring! Along with changing up my wardrobe, I like to freshen up my hair to get it ready for the new season and today I’m sharing a few tips with you!
FOUR TIPS TO A SPRING LOOK
- Opt for a trim – During the change in seasons, I like to get rid of my split ends and jagged edges. Sometimes, I’ll even opt for a completely new style. This year, I kept it simple and trimmed off the tips, which always freshens up my look.
- Freshen up your color – One of my favorite things to do is to freshen up my hair color. I love my dark hair, but sometimes the color is dull and I tend to overwash it during the winter months. Before I color my hair, I like to use an equalizer spray. The Schwarzkopf® Color Equalizer Spray helps even out porosity for a more even result to root to tip. I like to use the Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color hair dye because it repairs the inner hair structure of my hair, leaving it strong and healthy. Applying the hair color at home is very simple and the instructions are easy to follow. I make sure to add the Schwarzkopf® Salonplex Add-In Serum while I’m mixing the color and developer to protect against hair breakage and reinforce elasticity. I find Schwarzkopf® Colorist Tools easy to use and the results speak for themselves. I like to pick up my Schwarzkopf® products at my local Walmart ! You can even earn $2 back with the purchase of Schwarzkopf® Colorist Tools while supplies last with ibotta
- Let your hair down – Springtime is the perfect time to start letting your hair down. There’s so much static during winter months that I usually opt for a bun. I love the way loose hair pairs with spring dresses and a warm spring breeze.
- Keep the hairspray light – Think light and breezy when it comes to hairstyles for spring. Sometimes we tend to use more hairspray because of the humidity or wind. However, heavy hair sprays can weigh the hair down so opt for a good flexible brand and keep it as light as possible.
Ok friends! Here’s to Spring, warmer weather and to a fresh color!
Your hair looks gorgeous! Though I don’t color my hair simply because I feel it takes a lot of effort to care for it, I think you did it wonderfully with your hair looking so well nourished.

I have been thinking of doing something different with my hair so this has given me the confidence.
I really need to pep up my hair for spring I’ve been hiding it under a hat all winter so it’s been a bit neglected.
Looks great – maybe I’ll put my wife onto this. Might be cheaper than hitting the hairdresser 😉
I’ve seen this in stores and I wondered if it was a good brand. I’m wanting to lighten my hair for spring.
