Cheesy Pull-Apart Football Bread
This bread is warm, cheesy, and baked into the perfect football shape—making it both delicious and festive for game day. The buttery garlic herb topping takes it to the next level, and you can pull it apart piece by piece, making it perfect for sharing.
You’ll need:
- 16–19 oz pizza dough
- 8 string cheese sticks (cut) or 32 cheese cubes
- ½ tbsp milk or 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Flaky salt (optional)
Garlic Herb Butter:
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- ¼ cup Parmesan
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp parsley + 1 tbsp basil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
How to make it:
- Preheat & prep.
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Stuff the dough.
Cut the pizza dough into 32 equal pieces. Flatten each piece, fill with a cheese cube (or a piece of string cheese), and roll it into a ball, pinching the seams to seal. - Shape the football.
Arrange the balls on your baking sheet seam-side down, forming a football shape. - Brush & bake.
Brush the tops with milk or egg wash and sprinkle with flaky salt if desired.
Bake for 18 minutes, then broil for 2–3 minutes until golden brown. - Make the garlic herb butter.
While the bread bakes, mix melted butter, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper. - Brush & decorate.
When the bread is done, brush generously with the garlic herb butter.
Add thin strips of cheese on top to create the “laces” of the football. - Serve & celebrate.
Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

High-Protein Fried Pickle Dip
This dip is creamy, tangy, crunchy, and surprisingly packed with protein thanks to the cottage cheese and Greek yogurt base. It pairs perfectly with the cheesy bread—or even veggies, crackers, or chips.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup blended cottage cheese
- ½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- ½ cup chopped dill pickles
- 1 tbsp (or more) pickle juice
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Handful of fresh dill, chopped
- 3–4 chives, chopped
- Ranch seasoning, to taste
- Pinch of salt + pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ cup fried onions (for topping)
How to make it:
- Blend the base.
In a blender or food processor, blend cottage cheese and Greek yogurt until smooth and creamy. - Mix in the flavor.
Stir in chopped pickles, dill, chives, pickle juice, lemon juice, and all seasonings. - Top it off.
Finish with a generous sprinkle of fried onions and a little extra fresh dill for garnish. - Chill or serve right away.
You can make this dip a few hours ahead and keep it chilled until kickoff—it actually gets even more flavorful as it sits.
