Every Friday night, the kids and I have a standing date night-in. We grab our cozy blankets, pillows and watch some of our favorite shows. This week, we’re streaming Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and grabbing our favorite POP SECRET® Homestyle Microwave Popcorn from Walmart!
The kids were so excited when I told them that we’d be streaming Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. This is a series that we can all enjoy and honestly, the quality of the animation and storytelling is so good, you really get into the animation!
OK. First of all, let’s talk about the fact that Alex and I are huge Jurassic World fans. We’ve watched the first movies over and over and just love the cinematography and overall world that the directors created for us to enjoy. We’ve been wanting to find a way of introducing Jurassic World to the kids and now we can!
This is a story about six teenagers who are trapped at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nubular. Of course, something unfolds that releases the dinosaurs across the island, and the kids have to find a way to work together to survive. It’s a great lesson in teamwork and it’s an overall fun series to stream.
Before sitting down to watch, we spent some time coloring and working through a Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous activity sheet. We chatted about the different types of dinosaurs that existed and the fun favorite dinosaurs that we see on the screen. Grace worked on the crossword puzzle (she has been enjoying those lately) and Haddon colored in some of his favorite dinosaurs.
Then the fun part… I popped a few bags of POP SECRET® Homestyle Microwave Popcorn and the kids and I had such a fun time waiting to see who was going to spill their popcorn when the massive dinosaurs roared.
