These postpartum days have been a mixture of baby bliss and borderline chaos. Harrison is 7 weeks old and we are finally finding a really nice rhythm. He’s not sleeping as well as we’d like, but such is life with a newborn. He’s a real cutie, which makes staying up at all hours of the night just a bit more tolerable.
Last week I had a procedure done and I am really looking forward to getting the green light from my OB to exercise again. It’s been 7 weeks since I’ve hit the gym and it beginning to take a toll on me. Exercise is something I crave on a daily basis. It keeps me sane and I feel my best when I’m moving.
In the meantime, I’m still taking the Calcium vitamins that I took when I was pregnant. They are the CATALO Vegetarian Calcium Formula which is rich in calcium and magnesium. They are highly bioavailable mineral complex for easy absorption, they’re enriched with vitamin C from Acerola Cherry extract to enhance iron absorption and are 100% vegetarian. I feel this is one of the best supplements I can take to keep me strong and energized during the transition.
For all you expecting/future expecting mama’s out there, I also found CATALO Prenatal Algae DHA Drops very helpful throughout my pregnancy. They have a patented technology (life’s DHA™) to extract purified vegetarian DHA from micro-algae, they provide plant-based DHA alternatives for pregnancy and their graduated glass dropper is great for safe and convenient dosing.
All this talk about health in our home has sparked a renewed interest in the whole 30 diet. With the new year around the corner, it’s the perfect time to reset, plan, and greet 2019 with big goals for health and wellness. We are also really looking forward to the holidays! We have family coming in Christmas week and are so excited about spending some quality time with them. They are super passionate about healthy living and will be the perfect motivators to help us kick off the new year on the right foot!
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, and happy new year – plan, prepare, and execute in 2019!
