One of the things that point us to Christ in our daily lives, is the practice of thanksgiving. When we make time to take an account of all that we have been given, we look beyond our own wants and are able to see how blessed we truly are. When we practice gratitude, we leave no room for a selfish or ungrateful heart. Our thoughts are directed back to Christ, to His selfless love and to His redeeming grace.
In the efforts of practicing thanksgiving, we recently added a new category to the blog called “My Happy.” It’s a compilation of ordinary things that we are grateful for and that bring joy to our lives. This week, my sister-in-law Sammy is sharing a few things that make her happy.
//My Happy
- My time with Jesus
- My time with my husband
- My time with my kids
- My time with my family
- The Florida sunshine
- Family outings to the beach
- A clutter free home
- Being a teacher
- “Fancy” date nights (aka putting the kids down at 7:30 and having dinner and dessert on the couch in my yoga pants)
- Young Living essential oils
//also, how cute are these kiddos? and feel free to share with us what makes you happy. The more the merrier!!! //
Gosh there are so many. 5 Healthy Children (They’re aren’t kids that’s goats!!!).Beachside home ownership, outside citrus gardens, herbs and houseplants, great extended large family, inground swimming pool, hairless faced gorgeous husband, all in the grace of our Lord. Need more?
“fancy” date nights are the best kind! 🙂
