OUR LITTLE LADY TURNED 2!!

what a whirlwind these past two years have been. i still remember the first day we dropped grace of at grandmas and headed to a 9 hour school/work day.  it broke my heart.  she was 14 days old and i cried the entire way there.  two years of  school, work, late night study sessions and squeezing in feedings and diaper changes. two years of completely relying on Christ.  on His grace.  two years of pleading for strength to get through another day.  two years of answered prayers.

He gave us the determination to push through and to succeed. He blessed us with amazing mothers who gave of themselves every day, to care for our little girl.  so undeserved.

getting to this side, to the “other” side has been a slow and steady battle.  but here we are, stronger than ever and truly enjoying these days we have to spend with each other.

i think God granted us an extra dose of grace during the past two years.  our daughter has been such a pleasant, cuddly and loving little girl.  i almost think she knew we were going through some rough waters and resolved to help us by being a ray of sunshine.  she’s our blessing.  and now she’s 2!!! i can’t believe it!!   being this little girl’s momma is my favorite thing in the world and i am so happy that she is another year older and that she is growing so beautifully.

it was so much fun getting everything ready for this party.  grace kept running around the house screaming… “it’s my party!”

i think i was more excited than she was about opening presents.  ale’s says she’s picking up my quirquiness and my ability to get overly excited about the smallest of things.  i think i’m ok with that.  i think it makes for a fun filled life.
