Last week, during one of those Florida rainy days, we brought the kiddos outside for a herb gardening party. They were so excited when we told them we were planting herbs, and jumped at the opportunity to get wet and dirty with their dad!
Everything outside was muggy and humid, but we just have been cooped up for days and needed to get our cabin fever jitters out! We planted basil, cilantro and arugula and are hoping to make some amazing pesto in a few weeks!
This little boy and those eyes!!!
If you’re interested in building an herb garden, here’s a good post with detailed instructions.
It rained the rest of the afternoon and you better believe I let those kiddos play outside for as long as we could all take it. Grace found a stream of water and decided to “shower.”
We’re hoping for clearer skies this weekend so we can hit up the splash pad and get in the pool!
Do you have any weekend plans? How do you go about getting rid of the cabin-fever jitters?
love those little faces, they love gardening I believe I had so much fun gardening with our little ones as well
