Summer is in full swing and we have been so busy filling our days with as many outdoor activities as we can. This is our first time in Texas and we are so excited about getting outdoors. The kids and I have been talking about this on my bucket list for a while, and we have narrowed our list down to our top five things we want to do this summer. Today, I am teaming up with Snack Factory® Pretzel Crisps® Snacks and Kettle Brand® Chips to share with you our top 10 summer bucket list:
I pick up my snacks at my local Walmart. Starting May 20th get $15 worth of participating Cape Cod®, Kettle®, Late July®, Snack Factory®, and Snyder’s of Hanover® products between May 20, 2019 – June 30, 2019, in one transaction, and then get a $5 Walmart eGift Card online! Just snap a picture of your receipt, ensuring all the items are in view and email the photo to snackon@uploadreceipt.com by July 13. Once your purchase has been validated, you will receive a code. You can redeem that code at www.summersnacking.com by July 27 to receive a $5 Walmart eGift Card. You can find your nearest Walmart location here.
Visiting the Dallas zoo – One of our favorite things to do when we move to a new city is explore our town. We love the zoo and since we homeschool through the summer, we’ll be hitting our local zoo a few times this summer. There are also a few summer events at the Dallas zoo that we are hoping to take part in.
Lemonade stand – The kids have been wanting to set up a lemonade stand for some time now. This summer, we’re hoping to set up a stand in front of our house and raise some awareness for some of our favorite charities. I’m really excited about this opportunity because it will give the kids a taste of the entrepreneurial life. Plus, it will give us a chance to meet more neighbors and who doesn’t love lemonade in the summer?
Backyard camping – This is something I’m particularly excited about. I love the idea of camping, but I also love a home-cooked meal and a great shower. So, we take camping to the backyard. We are looking forward to backyard camping under twinkly lights and enjoying time with the kids, telling stories and staying up really late. The kids really get a kick out of snacking outside, and I’m bringing out my favorite Campbell’s/Snyder’s Lance snacks like Snack Factory® Pretzel Crisps® Snacks and Kettle Brand® Chips. I always keep these snacks on hand. They’re the perfect salty crunchy snack to have on hand when we’re telling stories and enjoying the fresh air. My kids are often sneaking their hands into the chip bag during the day, so I make sure to have a few extra bags in my pantry.
Evening walks – Summer evening walks are one of our favorite things to do. There really is nothing like a sunset walk after dinner where we get to catch up with the kids and chat all about our day. We’re hoping to get as many evening walks in this summer as possible.
Hitting our local pool – our new community has a fun splash pad and pool area. We just bought brand new bathing suits and are so excited about splashing all summer long. Visiting the local pool also will give us a chance to meet more families with younger kids and have more opportunities to play outside.
I think it’s so fun to sit down with my kids and create a bucket list for the upcoming season. It gives us all something to look forward to and helps us appreciate and enjoy our present season to the fullest!
