birthweek recap

last week we celebrated my 27^th birthday.  i was asked a few times how it felt to be 27 and after much thought i must say that 27 is a good age for me.  i feel a bit wiser… like i’ve treaded my share of ground and have a few nuggets of wisdom to share with others. wisdom that can be backed by 27 years of experience.

as far as birthweeks are concerned this past one was one of the best ones i’ve had.  (i shared here our take on birth “week” v.s birth “days”)

^^ale and i try to take this puppy out as often as we can.  before grace came along it was a weekly tradition.  now if the stars align and our schedules allot for daylight we run east until we hit the ocean^^

i must have begged ale for a weekend get-away for months and this was the perfect time for it. we booked a few nights at the Boca Beach Club which was absolutely breathtaking.  the architecture made us feel like we were in the 1920’s and rest and relaxation was exactly what we needed.

^^we had some company while in boca.  my brother and his girlfriend corina kept us old folk up to wee hours of the night making us feel young again…thanks guys!!! we also checked out serendipity and had their signature frozen hot chocolate and indulged in their all-american burgers and onion rings (on our trips to NY we always wanted to hit up serendipity but did not get a chance to…. score!)  we were also introduced to mellow mushroom, and had an amazing ice-cream adventure at jaxson’s^^

thank you for all of the birthweek wishes on my previous post and to my family for an amazing time.  you guys have made this year so special for me.  and to my husband who always knows how to make me feel like a princess.  cheers to 27!!
