//sometimes squeezing in family time means skipping over to the park minutes before they close the gates. we often run, sometimes we’ll throw a frisbee… but not her. she prefers to lay on the grass and look up at the trees. a girl after my own heart. a wonderer. a thinker. i love finding little pieces of grass in between her toes… and those mismatched socks… be still my heart.
//grateful for moments where she reminds me that errands can be fun and that teddy grahams are best eaten on the floor surrounded by books.
//handsome man who knows how to make me feel so incredibly glamorous after a long day of sweat pants and laundry… and the best red lipstick deserves a #selfie.
//pumpkins at our home are for soup and for carving contests. jorge and sam took home the prize for their “bun in the oven” work of art this year. the competition was tough, but the cheddar cheese fondue, apple cider and watching ellie double fisting chocolate cookies made it all worthwhile. and my dad who is always proud of his kids, moved the pumpkins outside for all the neighborhood to see. oh how it brought me back to the days of cheerleading trophies and band awards….such sweet memories.
P.s: here’s a pumpkin my dad and I carved a couple of years ago. We’re both tinkers at heart
