This is it friends. Summer has officially come to an end and we are all ready to get our schedules going again. My kids thrive when there are scheduled activities and although summer has been incredible, we are all ready. Emory is still hanging out practicing her letters and numbers and Haddon is ready for pre-K! How is that even happening??
Grace is already elbows deep in her second-grade classes and she’s never been more excited. This year, we’re trying out a new math curriculum and it’s already a hit. I’m so surprised at how well she’s adjusting to it.
One of our favorite things to do before school starts (and let’s be honest, all the way up until the first month of school) is to hit up the back to school section at Walmart. We are stocked up for our year and because they truly have amazing prices, I always feel like I’m winning! Grace had a chance to pick out a few of her favorite things from Walmart and I thought I’d share some with you guys.
First of all, stationeries have my daughter’s heart and it’s not hard to see why. She has quite the collection of notepads, folders, pens, pencils, and zippy bags to go with her outfits.
Speaking of outfits, I’m really loving this dress on her. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fabric and how flattering it looks on her.
This backpack was just too cute to pass up. I love that it’s see-through and she loves that the kitty cat sparkles.
Transitioning back to school is something we look forward to, but it can be a little daunting. I’ve found that if I do a little planning and stock up on our supplies from Walmart, everything is a bit smoother.
Here’s to second grade and heading back to school with a bang!
