we haven’t had an “official” weekend lately due to our crazy school/work schedule. so whenever we actually get to have two days together we slap a big “weekend” label on it and live it up! last week was lived to the fullest. some things were planned and others (like getting rained on 5 minutes after getting to the park…maybe next time sammy) were not. whatever the case may be…it was busy but good and i can’t help but be so incredibly grateful for the time shared together.
^^spent some time at the in-laws house prepping for the heat game, enjoying some pool time and home made burgers. i know these little gals enjoy their pool time but take a close look at my face… it screams I WISH I WERE 2 AND IN THERE WITH YOU!!!! maybe next time i’ll make an appearance in the kiddy pool^^
^^oh you know… just a diy onesie heat jersey this momma put together at the last minute. i made a deal with this handsome papa that if the heat made it to the finals grace would rock some heat gear^^^^friday night we had dinner with jorge, sammy and ellie at anthony’s coal fired pizza DELISH!!! our little lady put away a good chunk of pizza and chicken wings that night… she takes after her momma. and we got some instagram-love for posting a picture of grace and her papa. only downfall was that they thought grace was a boy… hmmm… maybe she needs more pink clothes?^^
^^i don’t usually do bath pictures but this is the first time she gets a big girl bath. we’ve used a pink baby bathtub since she was tiny… and last week she climbed out and slipped… on my watch… cringe! for some reason we always wait until something is absolutely dangerous before we make changes. i wonder what life would be like if we took some action BEFORE something bad happened. you know like wearing our seat belts or putting down that last slice of pizza or stretching before a workout… ouch!^^
^^hmm…. this one i’m quite jealous of only because i wasn’t invited. ale had some much needed quality time with his dad out on the ocean^^
^^we spent saturday doing some shopping for a first-birthday photo-shoot (pics coming soon). grace is getting old enough now where i can let her out of the stroller and let her wonder around a bit. it’s been a little tough getting over my germ-a-phobia but i think i’m making progress. it helps when i see how cute she looks walking around the store and looking at herself in the mirror and the compliments from other shoppers… ah bless their hearts. this is silly but i’m so glad that she accessories well. while other kids try to pull their hats and scarfs off, this little one begs to have them on… except for bows. those she can’t keep on no matter how hard i try^^
^^this was my absolute favorite moment. this trumps the heat winning the finals, the amazing food we had and the time spent running around the mall. this was our time. this was when i sung to her, prayed with her, comforted her and when we took the time to appreciate each other more than ever. i provided comfort and she filled my heart with massive unexplainable amounts of joy. if she only knew. ^^
So happy to see your enjoying motherhood! Thank you for sharing Grace’s discoveries. What a great thing you are doing for her, these are priceless! xo
Loved these two posts. Especially you with Gracie and Alex with her. And of course the ones with her hat on. And with Ellie of course. And Oma with her. They are all great.
Trying to stalk your site , but I got confirmed and then deleted.
